Preliminary phytochemical screening revealed the presence of bioactive compounds, including alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, sterols, tannins, and phenols, highlighting the flower's pharmacological potential. Proximate analysis indicated the flower is rich in carbohydrates (50.43%) and fiber (17.35%), with moderate protein content (11.17%) and low fat (5.78%), making it a valuable plant source for dietary applications. The elemental analysis demonstrated the presence of essential elements such as sodium (13.21 mg/100g), potassium (16.54 mg/100g), calcium (11.89 mg/100g), and magnesium (8.72 mg/100g). Iron was found in significant concentrations (20.47 mg/100g), alongside trace elements such as chromium, manganese, cobalt, and copper. Toxic heavy metals, including lead, cadmium, mercury, and arsenic, were detected in trace amounts, underscoring the importance of monitoring their levels in potential food and medicinal applications. These findings highlight the potential use of Samanea saman flower as a source of bioactive compounds, minerals, and nutritional components, with implications for health, nutrition, and pharmacological research.SN - 2576-9898 UR - http://dx.doi.org/10.30919/esg1265 DO - 10.30919/esg1265 ID - esg1265
