ES Food & Agroforestry

ES Food & Agroforestry  (FAF) is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed international journal that publishes high-quality and cutting-edge original research and review articles in various disciplines encompassing the science, technology and engineering of food, agriculture and forestry. The journal provides a forum for rapid dissemination of significant, novel, high impact, and the latest findings of studies on all aspects of food, agriculture and forestry. The topics include, but are not limited to: food nutrition, quality, and safety; food and agricultural chemistry and engineering; emerging discoveries in both pre-harvest and post-harvest food and agricultural technologies; agricultural and environmental pollutions; smart agriculture and controlled environmental agriculture; innovative risk mitigation strategies in supply chain safety and security; sustainability and ecosystems; water, soil and irrigation; tree biodiversity and habitat protection of forestry. The journal also welcomes contributions on the scientific policy, social and economic aspects of food, agriculture and forestry. The ES FAF is aiming to serve as an integrated platform to ensure that groundbreaking discoveries in food, agriculture and forestry-related sciences and technologies reach the public, the shareholders, and the society.

ES Food & Agroforestry accepts the manuscripts in the following formats:

Special issues

The journal seeks to publish focussed, coherent thematic volumes that will be of lasting use to the community, well cited, and of the highest quality – the same quality as regular research papers in the journal.

All interested experts should prepare a proposal for the proposed topic within the scope of the journal. After receiving the Special Issue proposals, journal Editors-in-Chief and selected Associate Editors will evaluate its feasibility. A decision is expected within three weeks from submission.

Processing Time

Depending on the manuscript type and number of submissions, the average manuscript turnaround time (the average time from submission to initial decision) will be around 10 days and the submission to acceptance ranges from 6-7 weeks.

After acceptance, the citable just-accepted manuscript with doi will be online in 1 week and another 4-5 weeks to get the final corrected article online after getting the authors’ final proof. The print version will be available 2-3 weeks later after the online volume is issued.
