Abstract

In this article, we present a new mechanism allowing the control of synchronous motors. It is a control mode combining a classic PID regulator and a modern regulator based on backstepping to control the variation of the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor without saliency or damper. A pulse-width modulated voltage inverter supplies power. Classical backstepping is inaccurate and may cause interruptions. Performed control can assure minimum fixed errors and considerable interaction with uncertainty. The high amount of static error that is introduced makes it harder for the system to respond to disturbances and loads that could happen in an industrial setting. By combining the PID controller with adaptive control using stable output feedback functions, we can keep the number of fixed mistakes to a minimum while still letting uncertainty play a significant role. The usefulness of the suggested controller is shown through the use of numerical simulations.
