In modern therapeutics various gases are used as the driving source of ventilators and nebulizers The medical gases are used in veterinary medicine and biological sciences. for various purposes which includes treating respiratory issues, managing strokes, and preserving biological samples, anesthesia, cryopreservation of organs for forensic examination fr driving medical devices and tools. Bull sperm are frequently cryopreserved using liquid Nitrogen in veterinary biotechnology. Here, we have attempted to give a broad overview of the significance of several gases utilized in biological and veterinary sciences. In the another next part of the paper, we focus on the significance of gas sensors, their types, and their functions. The detection of a particular gas and its concentration becomes important to monitor the environment, ensure public safety, address health concerns, control chemical processing, and use gas molecules in agriculture and medicine. There is chronical development in the materials used for gas sensing. With the advancement in nanoscience and technology, researchers effectively worked to develop some transition metal oxides which can be used as the gas sensing material. Herein we have discussed various materials used as gas sensors. The recent developments in the gas sensing materials are discussed in the last.
