Abstract

Research into compounds those target cancer's complex and multifactorial nature is crucial to its therapy. Since isoxazole compounds are versatile and effective in cancer treatment, they are potential possibilities. This review examines synthetic, semisynthetic, and natural isoxazole derivatives' cancer-fighting potential. Novel cancer treatments may be developed using isoxazole molecules, which have strong anti-cancer properties. Researchers also examine isoxazole-containing chemicals' capacity to disrupt cell-surface receptors and intracellular signalling pathways, which may help fight cancer are mentioned here. In cancer research, isoxazole compounds are leading the way as small molecule inhibitors (SMIs), opening new pathways for better anti-cancer therapies. This paper also focuses on isoxazole compounds' versatility and promising effect as cancer treatments, focusing on their powerful anti-cancer action. The isoxazole part, along with curcumin, usnic acid, and maslinic and oleanolic acids, gives rise to a number of bioactive chemicals that may help fight cancer. Cancer-fighting chemicals from plants and lichens are safe and low-toxic. This paper highlights natural products' synergistic effects, suggesting new options for less harmful and more effective anti-cancer therapy.
